Less than a week to go

Yes it is hard to believe that in less than a week today I will be a married woman. It is still so unbelievable to me. I am hoping that maybe after the honeymoon it will hit me, but so far it has not. As far as new reports, I moved in to our new place on September 30th. And what a horrible day was it for moving day. Rain Rain Rain, but it finally was accomplished. Now it is James turn to get his stuff in. I am still in the process of picking my bridals for the wedding, but I found some really great ones. I can't wait to see what happens at the day of the wedding. Other than that things are moving along. The temple was yesterday and I am officially sporting the new underwear. It was so great to have my mom, Aunt Susie, James and James dad there with me. They are great and so supportive. To bad they had to go so soon after, but I will see them again on Thursday. Full update to come after the honeymoon!

6 weeks or so to go

Time is flying by. Before I can even blink a week has gone by and wedding to dos are becoming shorter and shorter. (which is a good thing) I still am in shock that I am actually getting married and that this is really happening to me. Especially so fast. While eating with Crystal this evening she asked if I thought this was going to be my future back in January.. I can honestly say that I had no clue or thought that I would have met such a wonderful young man (pun intended) and be married by the end of 2009. I guess people were right that 09 would be my year. Other than wedding plans, work has been going as usually and keeping me busy. James and I are also participating in the wedding expo this Saturday and we are hoping to get his name out there and hopefully some business for his photography company. Plus I love doing events so this will be great fun for me! So we are keeping busy, especially me. Which is good, but I will be happy after October and life can be a little less s...

Wedding Update

Hey All!! Things have been going fabulous!! I will have to say not much head way concrete plans in place for the Wedding, but things are coming along nicely. Dress has been found, rings have been purchased, temple booked, honeymoon set and invitations have been picked... So I guess only a few more things.. lol But really things are great and I have a wonderful mother helping out and getting things taken care of in good ol ' Idaho. James, Milo and I are doing great! Its hard to believe that our little baby puppy is growing up. He gets bigger everyday... lol okay I just wanted to sound like a proud parent. But really we are all doing great and have been enjoying each other. I will admit I am one of the luckiest girl alive with a great family and family to be! More to come!

Engaged

Image
I am happy to report on Saturday, June 18th James proposed to me!! It was so cute and came as a surprise to me...Well not the fact that we were getting married and the engagement was coming, but that I was still under the impression that he didn't have ring. So I was genuinely surprised to have a ring on my finger today. I am sure all of you want to know how it happened so I will do my best to give a detailed Kelly version of the events surrounding the big moment! Days proceeding the big moment, James had told me my ring couldn't be set until Monday June 20. Of course I was like serious there is no one in this stated that can set it. Well, as the week unfolded our plans changed. James no longer had to work Saturday night but during the day, his friend Annie needed to have additional pictures taken for her wedding and we had a babysitter for our puppy Milo so James and I could go to dinner and a movie afterwards. Once we arrived at Trolley Square, we walked to the fountai...

Hiatus

Sorry all for the hiatus that I decided to take for the last month. Things have been going great with James. We also recently added a new addition to our relationship . His name is Milo and he is a black lab retriever mix and what can I say about Milo!!! Most of the time he is a great little barrel of joy, until he decides to pee on the carpet! So now I have 2 boys in my life and they bring me great joy. Hopefully soon I will have news to share, but just so you all know that things are moving along great and the summer has been amazing! More to come soon!

Smitten

It is so weird to finally know how it is to be swept off my feet. I never thought that this would happen ever in my life, but it has. I finally know what it is like and realize that what Jillian said on the bachelor is true, "You have to slay a lot of dragons before you find your prince". I hope all woman out there can find their prince and not settle on the dragon. Life is so much easier and happier with a prince. Good Night All & Sweet Dreams

Breather

Man when life gets busy, it gets busy. Since my last posting, I have found someone amazing. I have been so happy the last 2 weeks, well 3 since I met a James. I was beginning to think that nice guys didn't exist and if they did, I was sure missing the boat they came on. Of course it is early, but I have been having so much fun and enjoying James company. He is truly amazing and right now I feel so lucky to have met him. Which also goes with my friends in my life and their support. I have really been keeping busy and increasing my social life. It really has been wearing on me. I am really surprised how much sleep I really do need to function! Even now I am yawning. A nap at 7 is probably not the best idea. I am so happy June is here! I hope all of you have been having amazing summers!

Busy May

What an amazing month May has been. I have kept very very busy and it still isn't over yet. Although I can't believe that is already the 21st!! Time flies when you are having fun. Since this month has started I have been involved in a plethora of things including: Day trip to Idaho Road trip from San Diego with a stop in Vegas and a 5 day weekend in Idaho for my cousins Graduation Still to come.... Moving into my new pad for a few short months and the Big A show on May 29 th !! May has truly been an amazing month. The summer has been peaking around the corner and I think it is finally here. I have really missed summer and have been enjoying the weekends in SLC when it is nice. San Diego was so much fun. What a beautiful place to live. I was able to sit at the beach for 2 hours and get a killer burn on my legs. Even a week later it is red! But it was way fun to be with Rachel and the boys and get to know them and have so much fun! Even the road trip was delightful, however i st...
*UPDATE* Just so you avid blog watchers know I am still alive. I have been way busy working and having fun with my family and things constantly going on in my life. Tomorrow I am on my way to San Diego to have a little fun for the weekend, so come Sunday I will have great pictures and lots to talk about. Including everything that has been going on the last couple of weeks!

Baxter

Image
It has been an incredible week. I have been incredibly busy with the 53rd Annual Meeting for the University Credit Union. Which I am happy to report it was a success. Everyone says it went great and so far no complaints. I am very happy that the big event is over for another year and I can start focusing on other tasks. As i reported last time we have a new baby horse. I am happy to report that the name I suggested has been picked! His new name is Baxter. I think it is so cute and fits him so well. Well you can see for yourself. Otherwise, life has been great. Friday night saw the new 17 again movie and was able to meet up with some great girls for some good food. Which included, hitting on some cutie guys. Although none of us went away with a phone number, it was a good time. Wednesday it was great to see my friend Crystal and her kids and catch up. It feels like it has been forever since we last talked and hung out. As fr this week I know it will be so great. I get to see my mom thi...

Time Warp

It has been awhile since I have updated all of you on my life. At least fully update you.. So you are in for a big treat! Since a week before my test till today, I have 2 new friends! They are the cutest girls alive and I have enjoyed their company so much. It has truly been a blessing in my life. We have enjoyed dinner, movies and dancing. I will say they have kept me up way past my bedtime, which is probably a good thing for me. I can no longer be the old grandma! Work has been good. Very busy with our annual meeting coming up in less than a week. Although we are all feeling the stress, it should go great. Personally life has been hectic, between the unusual circumstances of having 2 new girlfriends, the social life they have now blessed me with, and balancing everything else I want to get done, it has certainly been busy. I will have to say this last week was very interesting. Wednesday night after movie night with Rachel and the boys, I was conveniently locked out of my p...

Drawing Board

Well the stress has finally passed in relation to my test. Although I didn't score what I wanted to, it is up to the admissions committee now. I can only hope pity can be taken upon me. Otherwise it is back to the drawing board. It is funny cause I really feel like I need to go back to school, but with my test scores not improving or even competitable in the admissions process, it makes me wonder. Maybe I am not meant to go into an MBA and need to re-evaluate what i am to go into and if it is a masters or another undergraduate degree. I guess time will tell if I get into a program or if I am back to the drawing board.

Test Day

Well as the title suggests I took the GMAT again... And the results are in (drum roll please) I got the exact same score again!! What are the odds. I did improve the math section (thank you to the tutors) but some how my verbal went down. The surprising part is that I am not sad or disappointed, but glad I didn't get worse and happy that I was able to improve my math even though it wasn't a huge amount. I am happy and now it is up to the admissions committee .

1 Week and Counting

I am clearing the calendar... My test is in less than a week and I don't feel ready what so ever! I truly will need divine guidance during my test to be fully ready and be able to pass. Yesterday was kind of a downer day. I am sure it has a lot to do with my Aunt Flow coming into town, but I was just really stressed and anxiety. But I realized how grateful I am for new friends in my life who are great people and I can count on to help me out. Cerina was so kind to let me come over and go to OSF! I love that place so much! Although once they filled the table next to us with a huge party and one lady that was really loud, it was time for us to go. Than we went back and watched this series of a christian love story. I am now addicted. We watched 3 movies and started the 4th. I think there are 6 total. I am going to have to go over there just to watch them on tivo. Anyways, I know this day will be better. I have so many blessing to count especially with my parents. I am sure they know,...

Counting Your Blessings

Waking up to a blizzard on Sunday morning isn't what i would say is one of those days you jump right out of bed and say thank you for this day... Or even really want to go out in the weather. But I braved the slushy roads and made it to church. And can I say what an amazing meeting it was. Brother Anderson gave the most amazing lesson in our combined meeting. I wish I could recite word for word the things he taught, but that would be pretty impossible. All I can say is how grateful I am for this man for being prepared to convey the message that Heavenly Father wanted the young adults to hear today. I know that the messages he spoke was truly needed for the young adults in my ward. Especially me. I really should be looking at all my blessings in my life and know each day that I am loved. I know that seems really simple, but I know for me I sometimes forget that I am loved by my Heavenly Father.

2 Weeks and Counting

2 Weeks from today and I will be taking the GMAT again. Yes round 2. I am getting really nervous for it. The schools I have applied to have contacted me and requested I retake the test. My score must have been really bad... lol So this time around I have a 2 tutors. Plus trying to do things on my own. The whole on my own thing hasn't been working the best. Especially during the week. After 8 hours of work and than trying to calm down from the day, I am usually to tired and brain fried to concentrate successfully on math. Otherwise, the week has been really slow. I wish I had more exciting things to report. I have kind of realized that when you are busy with school or something that is important for the future you do kind of stop caring about dating. Although I still won't say it is an excuse not to have a social life. I have reconnected with a USU friend. That has been interesting, but I always enjoyed the good times and someone you can talk to that relates to USU....

Home Sweet Home

What a long week, and what better to end it with a trip up to Idaho. The only thing missing is my mama sita and papa. However, it is still nice to be home. My week has been very busy. Between my works pot luck (and all the cooking for it) and making sure I am getting a little business and play time in, I have been one busy girl. This next week things should calm down a little and I can concentrate more on studying for my test. I will say today has been good. After a minor nap this afternoon I was able to see my aunt and cousins and go to one of my favorites places... Gringos. I love this place, but man does it not make you smell very good. It was so fun to reminisce about things in the past and the family get togetherness. What was even nicer was to see old videos of Dustin and I in Washington with my grandma. I miss her so much. I wish she was still here with us enjoying the milestones in her grandchildrens and childrens life. But I know more than anything she is watching o...

Spring has Sprung

Image
What a beautiful day!! I am so excited for Spring to come and take away all of this cold weather. I know the ground hog said we still have winter ahead of us, but what a great day! This week has been very good. I was able to go out to dinner with Tyson to help celebrate Karina's birthday. It was so fun! Cafe Trio was amazing and I think I am going to start craving the pomodoro . Last night I was able to go to Brighton with Cerina and her crew. I can honestly say that the season is done for me. I have never fallen so much from the minute I got off the lift till i went into the lodge in defeat. The huge bruise on my leg, where the top of my water bottle that was in my side pocket, hit is sore and ugly! But had a great time and as able to talk with Cerina for awhile. Things have been going great. I have been working hard and studying for the GMAT. I am still having a hard time with my living situation choice. I feel like I have made my short term decision, I just need to inform th...

Neglect

Sorry to all who have been checking in and I haven't been keeping up. Things have been keeping fairly busy. I have been working on finding a new place to live, decided to retake the GMAT, and doing service. So after receiving an e-mail from USU urging me to retake the GMAT, I have decided to do so. To help me prepare for this blessed test I have actually hired a tutor for the Math section. I guess the 8+ years of not taking a math course has finally caught up with me. I need a tutor now. I have also been searching for a place to live. It is so hard! I still don't know quite what i want to do. I have an option of living with my BFF Cerina . I am still unsure on that, but need to figure out something soon. I know for most this probably seems like nothing and not a big deal, but I guess we all have our issues and how they effect you. To keep you all updated on my love life, it is going through a dry spell. No dates as of lately and those who could have been something, but as man...

AHHH Sunday

I can't tell you how happy I am that today is Sunday. It has definitely been a great day of rest. Well mostly. This week has been so great and busy. I was able to spend time with my dear cousin Brittni. She was down here from Idaho with her ski club. It was so fun to hang with her and her little friends and see how much my little cousin has grown up. I can't believe I used to babysit her. She has grown up so much. This weekend I was able to take the girls out to dinner and do a little shopping. Which I didn't want to do the shopping thing (since I have no money and trying to pay off the credit card), but I was talked into going. And of course I found a cute new pair of shoes. I like them a lot and I am really excited to wear them as soon as it warms up a little more. Saturday was a big day of snowboarding up at Snowbird. What a great resort! I was able to keep up with the cousin somewhat, until those ice patches and catwalks took me down. By the end of the day I was very t...
